Who this guide is for

Owners and teams of U.S. service businesses — med spas, dental practices, contractors and similar — who want a clear, realistic plan. You don’t need technical knowledge. For a few steps, you may want help from your web provider.

This is a general plan. If you want priorities specific to your page, the Full Report includes a personalized 90-Day Action Plan.

Before you start

  • Choose one page, usually your homepage or main service page. Work on that page first.
  • Gather your facts:
  • your main services and who they’re for
  • the areas you serve
  • your licenses or credentials
  • years in business
  • reviews and photos you have permission to use

Week 1: Get your baseline

  • Run a Free Audit on your page. Write down your score, your label and your focus area: the category with the lowest score.
  • Note the date and the methodology version shown in your results. This lets you compare fairly later, even if the scoring rules are updated.
  • Check that AI tools can reach your page. Open your robots.txt and make sure AI search crawlers aren’t blocked. Read: How to check your robots.txt →
  • Ask AI three customer questions and write down what you see. Read: How to Know If ChatGPT Can Recommend Your Business →

Week 2: Clarity and evidence

  • Rewrite your headline and opening paragraph so they name your service, your audience and your location. Read: How to Write a Headline AI Can Understand →
  • Add your proof near your main claims: credentials, years of experience, team bios, reviews.
  • Remove claims you can’t support, like “the best in town.”

Week 3: Answers and structure

  • Add an FAQ with the five or six questions customers ask you most, each with a short, direct answer.
  • Make your next step obvious: one clear button near the top, and a line explaining what happens after.
  • Ask your web provider to add or check your schema, making sure it matches what the page shows.
  • Confirm your business details match across your website, Google Business Profile and directories.

Week 4: Publish and measure

  • Publish your changes and open the page on your phone to check it reads well.
  • Run a new audit and compare it with your Week 1 baseline.
  • Ask the same three AI questions again, with the same wording.
  • Decide what’s next: apply the same improvements to your other important pages, one at a time.

After the first 30 days

AI visibility isn’t a one-time project. Your services, team and reviews change, and so do AI tools. A good rhythm:

  • review your key pages every few months
  • check AI answers once a month
  • re-audit after every meaningful change

FAQ

Do I need a developer to follow this plan?

Not for most of it. Headline, copy, FAQs and proof are changes you can usually make yourself. Schema and access checks may need your web provider.

Can I do it faster than 30 days?

Yes. The weeks are a guide. What matters is the order: baseline, clarity, answers, then measure.
